ROLE: GRAPHIC DESIGNER/ILLUSTRATOR

CLIENT: PERSONAL PROJECT
In a nod to the timeless elegance and sophistication of Truman Capote’s legendary Black and White Ball, Nike Communications put on an event to celebrate their 40 years of successful business.

Initially unfamiliar with the iconic event that served as inspiration, I began by immersing myself in its history to fully understand the vision of the planning committee. I researched every detail—who attended, the dress code, the occasion, and even the design of the original invitation. This exploration allowed me to capture the essence of the ball while aligning it with Nike Communications’ celebratory goals.

Using these insights, I curated a series of mood boards featuring historical imagery and graphic elements inspired by the ball. Drawing from this research and influenced by past artists, I designed a suite of event assets, including invitations, photo booth props, cupcake toppers, matchboxes, and more. These elements brought the celebration to life, seamlessly blending modern creativity with classic sophistication.
