ABOUT ME
Hi ︎ My name is Nikita Corbelli and I am a designer, illustrator, and writer, based in Brooklyn, New York. I have a Bachelors of Science from St. John’s University with a major in Communication Arts and a minor in Social Justice theory.
Art has always been part of my life, a way for me to understand the world in many mediums. I was the "doodle student in" school. Looked down upon by teachers for not paying attention because my mind resided in a world of its own. English pads filled with enchanted forests and fields of flowers and Math book margins adored with silly characters and wacky faces. And although I found joy in art, it was a thing meant to remain in the category of ‘hobby’ rather than ‘career’. Now I see the impact art has in the world, and I wish for nothing more than to be a participant.
I am all about using design to fight injustices that pervade our social systems so that marginalized voices may be amplified. But, I als love design for the joy it can spark. A simple illustration bringing a smile to someone’s face.
With a passion for design innovation and a commitment to excellence, I am eager to contribute my creativity and technical skills to a dynamic design team, where I can continue to grow and refine my craft while delivering impactful visual solutions.
